Throughout the whole of last week I kept telling myself to get started on some blog posts I've been wanting to write for a while. But instead I ended up sitting on my bed, with my laptop in front of me and was just staring at a blank page for ages. I think I must have ended up suffering from some sort of writers block. I had lots and lots of spare time but I just couldn't seem to write anything, or if I did I just ended up re-reading the same paragraph over and over again until I finally decided to delete it!
It was one of those weeks again but this time I'm going to get myself back into gear again and get some blog post ideas going, set myself some deadlines and make sure I get them finished and published!
I guess part of my writers block has been to do with the fact that I've been feeling a bit under the weather for the past two weeks. I've been feeling a little down but I needed some time to get out and clear my mind. Although the weather we've had has been very beautiful with plenty of sun, 20 degree highs and cool breezes, I really needed the rain fall we've had in between the lovely weather. They say rain is to cleanse the soul, I wouldn't say I'm spiritual or anything like that but I felt like my mind had been cleared of any stress that was building up and with the rain we had I felt calm and relaxed.
I was in the kitchen waiting for the biscotti which was baking in the oven and as I was waiting I was watching the rain fall outside the kitchen window, soaking the grass and the flowers. My mind felt at ease and I was able to forget all that was bothering me. For me rain is the most cleansing but there are many other ways in which I use to cleanse my mind.

With this beautiful weather we've been having this Spring, It's nice to have a rain cleanse every once in a while. I'm hoping the cleanse rid of my writers block and I hope I can get started with some more blog posts this week! I'm in need of getting back into my routine again.
