Last Days Of Autumn

I can't imagine Autumn without crunchy golden leaves covering the paths. Colours of golds, oranges, reds and yellows everywhere you go and the sun with just enough warmth to keep us going in the chill.

In the last couple of weeks I've been making the most of the last of Autumn before we head into Winter. On my days off work I've been either out going for walks and taking photos of the paths and trees or baking Autumnal treats for the family. With a slight chill in the air and the sun bright warming my face, that's when it's best for the perfect Autumn walk.

In our little village we have a big church just around the corner from my house. The leaves have completely covered the path and as you walk across them you feel as though you are walking across some sort of cushion as the leaves are piled thick! The church grounds are my favourite in Autumn, at the start of October it's the best place to find all the conkers (if the school kids don't beat you to it) and then once Autumn really starts to kick in the colours of the trees are just wonderful.

There aren't many places to go for walks where I live. If you want to find some really great places for beautiful scenery then you'd have to travel a little further out of town. But through the weekdays without the transport it's a little difficult to go out adventuring. But I like to make the most of what's around me and what's near by. When I look outside my bedroom window I see a row of trees with golden leaves and when I leave early for work in the morning I'll get to see the early morning frost if it's been a cold night and still get to see the beautiful colours of the trees on my travels.

The Autumn colours are my favourite, but with Winter on it's way I secretly can't wait to see a sheet of snow glistening in the sunlight.
