Recently I have been...

Here's another little round up of the past couple of weeks or so!

Wearing: White converse all day every day!

Catching up on: So many different tv shows, because all the new seasons decided to come back all at once.

Enjoying: The beautiful sunny weather we've been having recently and the fact that the clocks have now gone forward which means I won't be worrying about losing the light for any afternoon photography!

Pinning: All the fashion ideas on Pinterest for Spring, plenty of Easter baking and some creative DIY ideas too!

Planning: On re-designing the whole blog at some point and thinking about designing a new header. I'm still a little bit indecisive about whether to move to WordPress.org or stay at Blogger with a custom domain. But hopefully by the Summer it should all be sorted!

Achieving: My goal which was to stick at driving lessons even though I was so close to quitting!

Listening to: Sara's (Me and Orla) Hashtag Authentic podcast which has been such a big inspiration to listen to. I've been struggling with the comparing myself to others recently and I found her comparison trap episode really helpful, so definitely go check that out for plenty of advice and helpful tips for Instagram.

Loving: My new glasses from the Kylie Minogue range at Specsavers. I've always hated seeing myself wearing glasses as I could never find a perfect pair that suited me. But these tortoise shell glasses I picked up are absolutely gorgeous and I actually feel happy wearing them for most of the time when needed!

Baking: Victoria sponge cake, because what's Spring without a Victoria Sponge!

Publishing: More content over on Instagram Stories. Before I even start to think about making YouTube videos I'd love to start working on my stories a little bit more first!

Displaying: All the beautiful fresh daffodils around the house.

Learning: How to use my Grandad's old film camera. When I was at university I did have the opportunity to use film cameras, but I was struggling badly with the medium format cameras. So I've dug out the old 35mm camera and I'm going to start using it more whenever I get the chance!

Drafting: Up a new 'have I ever told you' post. I did post one recently but I've popped it back into my drafts because I felt like I could have written it slightly better than before. I also have lots of Spring related posts up and coming too!

Wanderlusting: About how one day I would really love to go out and explore other countries. Whether that be solo travel or with a group I've been thinking about how I want to step out of my comfort zone and go on some sort of an adventure. I blame Pinterest for all the beautiful travel photos!

Wandering: Through the woodland trails which I really would love to start doing more often when I have the time. It feels so good to go out for a walk for a breath of fresh air!

What have you been up to recently?

  3. Nothing feels better than being out in the fresh air and wandering through forests! I'd really like to do a big camping trip this summer. (I moved from blogger to wordpress a few years ago and I'm so glad that I did - the change was slightly difficult to get used to at first though!) x

  4. What a lovely list of things Kayleigh, you've really popped a smile on my face! I feel you when it comes to glasses that suit, I accidently lost my favourite ever pair of glasses last summer and have not been happy since. I just can't find a pair I feel comfortable in, I'm actually considering contacts now!

Oh isn't Pinterest just an awesome place of wonderfulness that you can so easily get lost in?! I'm not surprised you got wanderlust! I do every single time I log in.

I also listen to Sara's podcast and found the comparison episode so helpful. I read a quote last night that really got me thinking about comparison and has put things into perspective for me:

Life is the most difficult exam. Many people fail because they try to copy others not realising that everyone has a different question paper

I hope those words help you as they helped me!

    1. I'm not so sure about contacts but I hope they work out for you! What a lovely little quote. It's like a little reminder just to say that everyone is different and we all have own paths to take. Thanks for sharing Peta and thanks for reading. :) x
